Thursday

Today is my last day before 11 days off! Very happy, and a little stressed. We still have a few things to take care of before Christmas.

Yesterday after work I did some laundry and dishes. Then I went to the store and got a few things. After I got home Vallerie was fed and went to bed.

I tried to make some little boxes for ornaments, but I realized I don't have enough paper or tape, so I will have to figure something else out. After that I went downstairs and watched tv and fell asleep.

Not a really exciting day, but that's ok. There will be lots of excitement later this week.

Wednesday Wazoodle

Kind of happy. Today and tomorrow are my last work days until Jan 3rd. And I am at home, so that makes it so much awesomer.

After work yesterday Eddie's littlest sister came over with her step daughter. We hung out and had dinner. Eddie made some awesome chicken.

After his sis went home I started on some more ornaments and watched the final episodes of Dollhouse on Netflix. Then around 12:30am I went to bed. Vallerie got up around 6:30am today. She's been sleeping in a little later and Eddie has been trying to push her nap back to a later time. Seems to be working so far.

Today I will probably do more ornaments and do some laundry. Maybe a little cleaning, although the house doesn't need that much done. Should probably buy diapers and milk so we don't run out on Christmas eve and then have to use newspaper and water for Vallerie (haha).

Lonely Tuesday

I'm in the office today. I am the only one here! There are a couple guys working but they are at home. It's awfully lonely... Wish I had a radio to jam to. Oh well. I'm sure there will be people coming in later.

Last night after work we finished our Christmas shopping. We went to Toys R Us and got the kids some stuff. They had some good sales, so we were able to get a couple things 1/2 off. We did pretty good on money this year. There were a lot of people to buy for, but we had a budget and we stuck to it. I think next year we will cut every ones budget and concentrate more on Vallerie and her cousins.

I still have to wrap the toys, but that wont take me long. I was going to make a couple more ornaments last night after Vallerie was in bed, but I fell asleep watching a movie. It's those commercials that get me. I think I can just shut my eyes for a few minutes and then BAM I am asleep.

Lots of paperwork to do at work today so that should keep me busy. I'm glad. There's nothing like being bored to make your day go by really slow.

Monday

Yesterday (after I blogged) I tidied up the kitchen. After Vallerie was fed I gave her a bath. I probably should have waited a little while longer to bathe her because she pooped in the tub! It was so gross! No, it's not the first time, but I don't think that's something I will ever get used to. Eddie was on the phone with his mom when it happened, so I put Vallerie on the floor and she ran off (naked) Eddie came in and laughed. He called his mom back after Vallerie was back in the clean tub. Eddie's mom thought it was funny. Guess I was the only one who didn't find it amusing.

After Vallerie was in bed I wrapped the rest of the presents. It didn't take me too long, but I am glad it's done. We still have a little more shopping to do so there will be a little more wrapping.

There's a new show on TLC that is about geeks finding dates. It's pretty good. Eddie thought it was funny.

That's about all that happened last night. It's about 50 degrees out today. I am a little upset that it is so warm and non snowy this time of year, but hopefully I will get some snow soon.

A Sunday for cleaning

It's Sunday. I have been trying to tidy the house all day. I got most of the bedroom done. Just a little laundry that needs washed.

Yesterday Eddie and I went Christmas shopping after work. We had 14 people to shop for, and we got 10 of them finished. Now all we have left is 4, and those are kids, so that should be fun. We were going to knock everyone out in one day, but we were out for 5 hours and had enough. We will pop over to Toys R Us sometime this week.

We went to Hobby Lobby and got some presents, and I got a great deal on beads. They were 50% off, so I bought about 10 strands. They are going to go great with the things I am working on.

I did some wrapping last night. I got all of Eddie's family's gifts done. I was going to keep going, but this year I am wrapping Eddie's family and my family in different paper so they are easier to see which is which. Eddie's is red and mine is green. I actually found a green style of paper that is the same as the red style I bought last year, so I thought that was pretty cool.

Vallerie slept LATE today. I'm not talking 7am late. She got up around 8:30... that is so not like her. She did have a long day yesterday though. She only got 1 nap, and by the time we got home and ate it was almost 9. I got worried this morning that something was wrong, but every now and then we would hear her move or make a little sound, so we knew she was alive. (Yes I still freak out that she is dead if she doesn't make a noise in the morning before she normally wakes up)

I went out today and got more wrapping paper and a couple other things.

I'm going to finish wrapping and do some more laundry today. Then I'll probably make a couple more ornaments. Can't do much now because Vallerie is napping. It's quiet time in the house.

Friday there's a moose on the loose

Yesterday I left work early to use up some of my vacation hours. (I think I still have an hour left) I got home and Eddie and I started filling out our Christmas cards. We got those all done and stickered. So I am mailing them out today. I am going to need to buy 2 books of stamps.

After Vallerie went to bed we watched a little tv and then went to bed. I don't think either one of us knew what to do so we just decided it was bed time.

Around 4:30am Dalmo decides to run into our room. He was chasing a freakin MOUSE. We have a mouse! It was creepy and I got scared to touch the floor. Eddie put out a couple traps today.

Lots to do today. Might go shopping this afternoon, not sure. I guess it depends on Eddie and Vallerie's mood. Hopefully they both will be happy and in the Christmas spirit... somehow I am guessing not.

Thursday missed a day yesterday

It's Thursday. I was going to blog yesterday, but I didn't get the chance. My grandpa went to the hospital, (ulcers) so I had to run out of the office pretty early. They thought it was something more serious so that's why I rushed out.

It ended up working out though because I had vacation hours to use before the end of the year and I was going to leave early anyway.

Tuesday night I worked on a couple more ornaments and we watched some more Boardwalk Empire. Last night I finished the 4 ornaments I started and then went to bed. I brought in a few ornaments for some people at work, so I made boxes for them too. That took a while, but I have the box dimensions so now I can make boxes for the others.

Working a short day today and using the rest of my vacation hours. We had our Christmas carry in and gift exchange. I got to pick a gift pretty early and I got this awesome chicken thing that danced and played music, but it got "stolen" so I ended up with a rapper kit. It had sunglasses, a wife beater, a bandanna and a couple rap cd's. Oh well. The chicken was pretty cool I was sad I didn't get to keep it.

Got our cards printed out. Going to address them and send them out tomorrow. I need to go to the post office and get stamps though.

That's about all that's going on. Christmas shopping this weekend.

Tuesday, the beginning of a long week

Yesterday after work we didn't do much. Vallerie was tired so she was a little fussy at the end of the day. She went to bed at the normal time, but she woke up a few times during the night, so I didn't sleep well.

Eddie and I watched a couple episodes of Boardwalk Empire on HBO. We have the whole season on our tivo, so we have a lot left to watch. I fell asleep on the 2nd episode, but Eddie said it wasn't a very good one.

We went to bed after that.

That's all we did. Pretty boring stuff.

Going to make some more ornaments this week. I have about 8 done now. I wanted to make some for a few gals at work. I think I should be able to get it all done before Christmas.

Monday Ugh

I'm stressing over Christmas shopping now. Not only because of the money, but because I don't know when I will have time to go shop. Eddie's mom wants to watch Vallerie when we go, but I really don't have any days that I can take off before Christmas. There just aren't enough people working to cover all the shifts. I guess I will try and figure it out. Maybe I can take a 1/2 day or something.

This weekend was pretty good. Saturday Vallerie and I went out and got some groceries. I also stopped by once upon a child and got her some little black shiny shoes and a sweater to go over her Christmas dress. I only spent about $5.

We finally put out all of our Christmas decorations inside. Nothing on the outside this year. We moved the baby gate to the stairs so Vallerie could have the hall to run around in.

Sunday we spent the day home just hanging out. I did some laundry and the dishes. Nothing too exciting. We did take Vallerie's picture for our Christmas cards. She was not cooperating, but I think we got a few good ones we can use. I will have to get those made up this week so we can send them out.

Made a couple more ornaments. Just need to add the finishing touches. I think I have 6 done so far. I don't know why I am making so many. I guess they are just fun to make.

Saturday busy busy

Yesterday after I got home I played with Vallerie and ate dinner. We had tacos. Vallerie had fun eating hers. Not as much fun as lunch time apparently. Eddie told me a funny story about lunch. (I will probably tell it wrong)

He gave her fettuccine. He walked away for a few seconds to get a drink or something and noticed that it was all gone. He checked the floor and there was nothing there, so he thought" great she ate it all" and gave her some more. The 2nd plate was gone rather quickly too. He then noticed that both plates of food were in her shirt. She had put the food down the neck of her shirt. I guess she did actually eat some of the food, but I thought it was a cute story.

After that Vallerie went to bed. Around 8pm this time. I started on another ornament and then at 9pm I watched Ghost Adventures. It wasn't a very good episode. Then, I was tired and went to bed.

Vallerie got up around 6 this morning, so I have been up for a while. It's ok though because I am working anyway. Need that extra Christmas money!

I think we are going to get some groceries today and maybe a little something for Vallerie to wear in her Christmas pictures. We can't spend too much I really want to save all I can for Christmas presents.

Friday Friday Yay!

Well it's Friday. I am happy about that even though I will probably work tomorrow. Just to get some extra money for Christmas.

Yesterday I worked late so I didn't do much afterwards.

I have finished 4 origami ornaments. They are so fun to make! The one I made out of tape I ended up taking apart and gluing together (since it fell into pieces) and now it is very sturdy. I am hoping to make more before Christmas. I would like to make some for the girls in the office. Since they take so much time (about 4 hours) I may not be able to, but I am going to try.

We had pasta for dinner. It was good. I gave Vallerie a bath and put her to bed around 8pm. We're going to try and make her wake up later so her naps are at a better time for Christmas.

Going to be a busy weekend. Have to do some cleaning and some more decorating for Christmas. We also need to get started on our Christmas cards. We need to take some pics of Vallerie to put on them. Then I need to put them on the cards and print them out. Then next weekend I will go shopping for presents.

Thursday Dec 8th

Yesterday Eddie and Vallerie went to the mall. I stayed home and worked. They left around 5pm. Why did they go? Well, Vallerie got a hold of Eddie's glasses and broke them, so Eddie went to get a new pair.

Eddie told me about some funny things Vallerie did. I guess they went to the play area inside the mall and Vallerie was having a good time. She was pushing other kids out of the way and stealing their toys/books. Her cousin was there, not any one I have previously mentioned. This was Eddie's cousins daughter's daughter. Eddie said that they immediately gravitated towards each other and played. She would sit in the play car and when someone would run through it she would screech. And, she went head first down a little slide.

Then when they were back at the glasses place, Vallerie was walking around and decided to take a necklace from a little crawling baby. They were gone for a while and by the time they got home it was way past Vallerie's bed time, but she was pretty good.

After work Eddie and I played some of our game and then went to bed.

Vallerie got up about an hour later than normal today. She ended up hurting herself this morning. She was carrying a toy and tripped and the toy hit her chin, which made her razor teeth cut her lip. She was fine after about 2 minutes. Other than that she was good this morning. She is napping now.

Wednesday

Yesterday after work I came home and Vallerie was napping. Normally this would have been great, but I really really wanted to go shopping. So, I waited until she was awake and then her and I went in to town. Eddie stayed home. We were having internet trouble, and he wanted to fix it, which he did without too much of a headache.

Vallerie and I went to Walmart. She was a good little shopper. The only time she cried was when I took away the keys, my list, and my phone. We bought a couple stocking stuffers, beads, glue, and some cleaning stuff. I really needed more swiffer pads and fluid. We also got Eddie a couple presents, and I got the spray stuff for my paper ornament. We were going to go to Hobby Lobby and look at paper (because I love paper) but I felt like I spent a lot at Walmart, and I do have paper, plus I didn't think Vallerie would cooperate too much longer. So, we went home and had dinner.

I sprayed my origami ornament with the spray I bought. Before I sprayed it it broke as I was taking it off of the wall. It was only held on with tape. So after spraying it kept falling apart. I think I can fix it though. The spray made it harder, so I will definitely try it on another one.

I ended up giving Eddie one of his Christmas presents early. (because I knew he would like it) It was "The Hangover Part II" dvd. He got really excited, and we ended up watching it. It was pretty good.

We also played a little of our video game together which was fun. I always have a good time playing games with Eddie.

Went to bed around 12AM, Vallerie woke up her normal 6am (ish) time, so everything is pretty good so far today. I'll probably start on another origami ornament later on. This one will be held together with glue!

Tuesday

Yesterday we got "Water for Elephants" in the mail from Netflix. I just had to watch it! Eddie was not interested, so I watched it by myself. It was good, but no where near as good as the book (but what movie is??)

I started on another origami flower ball ornament. I am wanting to see if I can find something to spray it with so it will stay preserved forever. It's pretty sturdy now, but after being boxed up and thrown around it'll probably fall apart sometime in the next few years I would assume. I will have to look that up online.

Today I am working in the office. I have some paperwork to do, then I am going to do some training in the mail room. Don't know what tonight's plans will be.

Very cold in the office today. I have gloves and a scarf on. Should have worn a thicker coat.

I looked online and I think I found something to spray on my paper ormament to make it stronger. If I'm lucky I will go out today and buy some stuff.

Weekend stuff (forgot to blog)

Saturday I had to work. After work we went to the local Christmas parade. We ended up riding in the Trolley and being part of the parade. Vallerie thought it would be fun to lick the window. Eww.

After that we went to my work's Christmas party. Eddie's little sister watched Vallerie for us. Eddie hasn't been to my work's Christmas party in years, so I was really happy that he went. I think he even had a good time!

Sunday we ate lunch with Eddie's sister and her family. We went to a Mongolian restaurant called Hu Hot. It was pretty neat.

Then we headed over to Walmart to get some new clothes for Vallerie. She spilled a coke at lunch, so she was soaked. I bought her clothes and changed her in the bathroom. I was scared that someone would think I was shoplifting them, but no one did.

While we were there we looked for Christmas decorations. We didn't find anything we liked, so we headed over to Miejer. They had some good stuff. I think we're all set now.

We decorated the house a little bit more. We still have more to do, but we're getting there. Eddie's got the holiday spirit!

I made a new Christmas ornament out of origami flowers. I think it's pretty cool.

Friday Yahoo!

Well, it's Friday. My week went pretty fast, so I am happy about that.

Yesterday during my lunch break I went downstairs and decorated the tree with Vallerie. She had fun trying to pull the ornaments off the tree. When I pulled out the lights and plugged them in she said "ooooooooh" and then wanted to play with them. It was pretty cute. My ornaments didn't go as far as I thought they would, so I think the tree looks kinda bare, but Eddie said it looked good. As long as he likes it I am happy.

After work I went downstairs and watched tv. Eddie was asleep. I tried to wake him up so he could have his "Eddie time" but he didn't want to get up. I watched a couple hours of tv then decided I should probably get to bed. I couldn't sleep. At about 2am my stomach started hurting, so I was up for an hour or so with a stomach ache. Finally felt better around 3:30. Then Vallerie woke up at 5:30. So, I am a little tired today. I was planning on working in the office today, but decided to stay home and work since I was tired.

Next week I start part time in the mail room again. I think as shipping season gets going I will go back there full time. I am excited. I like working back there.

Tomorrow is the company Winter Sales Meeting (aka the Christmas Party) I am planning on going (alone) but I am going to wait and see how Vallerie is today and tomorrow. She was very fussy after her 2nd nap yesterday and Eddie got a little stressed out. Since he doesn't want to go to the party with me, I don't want to leave him home super stressed. It would be a lot easier if he would go. Oh well.

New Ghost Adventures is on tonight. I made sure to set up tivo to record it since I will probably fall asleep before it's over.

Thursday Fun Time?

Yesterday after work Eddie and I watched Source Code. It was pretty good I suppose. Forgot to put it in the mailbox today, so I will have to do that tomorrow so we can get a new movie.

After that we went to bed.

Eddie and Vallerie are putting up the Christmas Tree now. I am in charge of decorating it, so I will have to do that after work. All of my ornaments are dry and ready to go, so it will be fun. I took some pictures of them. I will post them on another day.

Going to clean and de-clutter this weekend so we can finish decorating for Christmas. Eddie has really been into decorating the house for Christmas since Vallerie was born. I think it's sweet.

I snapped a few pics of Vallerie "helping" put up the tree. She was more interested in knocking it over, so hopefully once it is completely finished she will be done doing that.

Wednesday

Yesterday it snowed. Not much, and the heaviest snow was falling on my way home from work. (go figure) About an hour after I got home it turned back into rain. There's still a little bit on the ground, but it will all be gone later today.

For dinner we had bacon and eggs. I cooked it all. It was good.

I sewed several more ornaments. I still have some snowmen to do, and then I am going to start on the others. I did manage to sew 3 peppermint ones. Eddie thought they were ok.

Watched a few episodes of Hotel Babylon on Netflix while I was sewing. It's a pretty good show. It's about a hotel in London and all the adventures the staff have.

Got my craft table that my mom got me for Christmas. I haven't set it up yet. I will probably do that this weekend, because there isn't much time to do it now, and it involves a lot of moving stuff around. Plus, I want to tidy the house a bit before we decorate for Christmas.

Hung out with Vallerie this morning before I came to work. She was in a screeching mood. And she has gotten more... I don't know the word. She likes to sit with Eddie and me and just watch tv and hang out in our laps. It's cute and very fun.

Eddie broke down Vallerie's bouncy adventure seat, and turned it into the standing version. She seems to think it's cool. Don't know how long that will last though.

Eddie hasn't seen them yer, but I hope he likes them. I think they are ok. I like some more than others. I think I would have liked them all a lot better if I could have used buttons and/or beads, but that would defeat the purpose of them being safe for Vallerie to get a hold of.

Maybe next year.

Tuesday Morning

It's Tuesday...

Last night after work I started on the felt ornaments again. I sewed 14. I still have about 20 left to do. The 14 I sewed still need finished with puffy paint, but I have the hard part done. By the time I was done sewing my fingers hurt, so I figured I should quit for the day.

After that I played a little of my video game and then went to bed.

I think Eddie might rearrange the living room today so we can put up the tree soon. I still don't know how it's going to work, but we will figure it out.

Raining today. It's supposed to turn to snow tonight, so I am happy. They said this morning 1-3 inches, so I hope it happens! Yay for snow!

The bank called me yesterday and asked when I planned on paying my Nov payment on my loan. I was a little angry. I politely told the guy that I made a payment that day and briefly told him what happened when I tried to pay it on the 18th. He said everything should be fine.

Mailing my sisters ornaments and my mom's cards today. I hope they get there...

It's SNOWING!

I thought of a couple new ornaments I could make. (Yes I should probably finish what I have cut out)
Penguins and peppermints. I was planning on cutting out the penguin template on my cricut, and then I found a peppermint template online. I hope I don't run out of thread. I will just have to use it sparingly I suppose.

One more hour and I am out of here and on my way home. Gotta get gas and soda. Maybe Vallerie will be napping when I get home so I can start cutting some stuff out. If not that's ok I can wait until sleepy time for her.

Oh, and a scarf update: I have about 10 scarves made. I think I have 3 left to do before I am done. I am getting a lot better at finishing the bottoms and making them look nice.

Tuesday Thru Sunday

Since I had almost a week off from work for Thanksgiving, I got a little lazy with blogging. Here's kind of a recap of what happened.

Tuesday we headed in to town to look for a shirt for each of us to wear on Thanksgiving. It was a horrible day. It was raining and cold, not a fun day to go out. Vallerie and Eddie both found something at TJ Maxx. I was not so lucky. I really didn't think I would find anything there anyway. I've never had great luck there. Vallerie started not having a good time, so we went home after that.

Wednesday I went to Cato's to find a shirt, and I found 2 good ones. I was very happy. I also went to Walmart to pick up a few things to eat, and wow it was packed. I guess I forgot that everyone would be out getting things for Thanksgiving dinner. It wasn't horrible though, the worst was the stupid people blocking the isle with their carts. That really ticks me off. Luckily I didn't have to wait in line because they have self checkout.

Thursday was Thanksgiving. We went over to Eddie's Brother in laws parents house to eat. It was alright. There were some people there we didn't know, so it was a little weird. I ended up in the basement watching Vallerie and Gabe after dinner. I don't know how I got stuck with that job. I guess I can't complain, it was probably better than trying to make conversation with the people I didn't know. After we were done there we took Eddie's mom home and then went home ourselves.

Friday we went to eat with my family at a restaurant in the town I work in. My aunt, gpa, uncle, and my uncle's brother were there. (Eddie and Vallerie too) I had pancakes. They were good. Funny? story, the room we sat in was in the back, and when we went in there was no one there. My aunt thought it was too hot, so she preceded to go to the thermostat and turn on the AC... Several times during our meal the waitresses would look at the thermostat (I don't know if they thought something was wrong, or if they knew it had been messed with) So that was... interesting. Vallerie got an 8 out of 10 for the day (10 being the perfect baby) She got a little higher marks because while she did get fussy at the end, she woke up from her nap early, so she was tired.

Saturday Vallerie and I went in to town to look for cloth Christmas ornaments. We went to Joann Fabrics and Hobby Lobby. Neither place had them, or a bolt of cloth to cut them out and sew them, so I just bought some felt and puffy paint and decided to make my own. (I have 5 done so far. Eddie says they are ok, but I think there is room for improvement)

Saturday night I decided to order Vallerie a couple sippy cups online since we can't find any of the ones we like in the store. (They must only carry one at a time??) I thought I was getting free shipping, so I tried to use paypal to pay, but I got an error saying paypal wasn't working. I thought ok no problem. so I decided to add a few things to the order to get free shipping (things I wanted anyway) and then paid using my card. I decided to check paypal after I was done just to make sure I wasn't charged. Guess what... I was. I called the company that I ordered from and "Dave" said not to worry, that the charge would be refunded. So, I have to keep an eye on that. I was a little ticked though.

Also, I checked my bank account, and found that the loan payment I made through a transfer from my checking to the loan account didn't go through. I got charged a late fee and everything! Since it was Saturday night and there was no customer service open, I send an email to them. (They normally get back to me quickly) asking what the hell was going on. I had a confirmation number to show I tried to pay it. Not only did this upset me, I then realized that I now will have $95 less in my account than I thought I did, since I thought it was already taken out. That really bummed me out.

Sunday the only place we went was Walmans. We helped Eddie's brother out of a jam, and that's pretty much it.

I almost forgot. Vallerie's diaper situation seems to have resolved itself. I don't know if it was what she was eating, or the fact that she was cutting 3 new teeth (yay for top chompers), or both, but she is using all diapers equally well now. The Huggies got us through the rough days, but she's back in pampers now. I'm really glad thats over. Although I'm sure it won't be the last time.

Update:
Heard back from the bank. They waived my late fee and said to try and send the payment again. I did and it worked. I think everything is good now.

Weekend Adventure: Finding new diapers

This weekend was alright.

Friday after work we went into town and got Vallerie's Christmas dress from his mom. It is really cute. We will need to get a little sweater to put on top of it. She will look so cute in it. I can't wait.

Then we headed over to Sam's club to get some stuff. We saw Eddie's sister there. Vallerie was a good shopper despite not having a 2nd nap.

I worked Saturday for a few hours, then hung out with Vallerie and Eddie the rest of the day. Nothing too exciting... except (and I wouldn't call this exciting)

Vallerie has apparently outgrown? her current brand of diapers. I don't mean that she is too big for them, I mean they no longer work. I had to change her pants 4 times Saturday. I have no idea why all of a sudden they no longer work, but I am a little sad. They worked for so long, and they were cheap!

Sunday Vallerie and I went on our Diaper Adventure. We headed to Walmart and picked up 3 brands of diapers. Pampers (which have always worked in the past) Huggies (which didn't really work in the past) and Luvs (which did not work in the past)... so far the Pampers are OMG no. This mornings diaper change was NOT fun.

To top it off Vallerie was in her new pink penguin jammies, so they now need washed. She's got on the Luvs now, I hope those work. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

I told Eddie that if this problem doesn't get resolved by Thanksgiving, we'll probably need to take extra pants in the diaper bag. How incredibly awesome is that? (not awesome at all really)

TGIF

It's Friday yay!

Yesterday at work we had our Thanksgiving carry in lunch. I made mac and cheese. Everything was really good. I brought home some Turkey and mac for Eddie.

Last night was crazy at work. People kept calling in saying we had called them, but we hadn't. Something must have been going on with out outside call center because the people calling in were not customers or even farmers. I had to spend most of the night apologizing. No one got mad though, so that's good.

On my way home I stopped by CVS to get Eddie some cranberry juice and when I walked in I saw the cutest thing for Vallerie. A giraffe stuffed animal chair. It is so soft and cute! I just had to get it for her.

By the time I got home it was 9:40pm, so I didn't do a lot before I went to bed. I read a couple magazines and went to sleep. Eddie played one of his video games.

Paid the bills online today. I have to go to the bank later for a couple things. I worked some extra overtime, so I got a nice paycheck today. It will certainly help for Christmas buying. I still need to figure out what to get everyone.

I still have a few scarves to make, but luckily the Christmas get together for the girls at work is in January, so I have a little extra time to do those.

Eddie's mom got Vallerie a Christmas dress, so we are going to pick that up this weekend. I hope it's cute! I don't see why it wouldn't be though.

I started making templates for this years Christmas cards. Eddie picked out the one he likes best, so now I just have to do a few samples of different colors to see what he likes best. I have some time for that though, so I'm not worried.

Thursday Ugh

Spent the last 2 days at hoime with migraines. So, not much happened.

Not feeling great today either. I am using a co workers sunglasses in the office because it's so bright.

Weekend Stuff

Hello!

Saturday we went to Eddie's sisters and roasted hot dogs over a fire. It was pretty fun. Vallerie started out running around in their yard, but then she got a little too interested in the fire, so we put her in the playpen outside. She didn't like being caged.

We decided to stop by Michael's on our way home and get some yarn. My favorite yarn was on sale for $2 off, which is fantastic! So I bought 3, and then 2 other yarns I should have enough to finish all the scarves I need. Now I just need the time to do it.

By the time we got home we all reeked of smoke, so we all took baths. Vallerie decided that she was going to be a butthead and drop her plate of food on the ground. The plate broke. It was a small one though, so I'm not too upset.

After she was snuggled into bed I played some of the Sims and Eddie played some of his new game.

Sunday was a lazy day. Eddie napped a bit so I hung out with Vallerie. We watched the Powerpuff girls most of the day. She seems to like them. It's a good thing I have 3 DVDs. 

Eddie's mom called and said that she has a Christmas Dress that she bought for Vallerie. I can't wait to see it. We wanted to get her one but haven't yet.

We still haven't watched the movie we got from netflix. I really want to see it too. Maybe we will tonight. Who knows.

F-ing Friday OMG

Yes it's Friday, but boy am I stressed.

Lets start out with last night then we'll get to f-ing Friday.

Yesterday after work I quickly knitted Vallerie a scarf. It's a mini scarf. I used some of my left over purple yarn. It's great, she likes it.  Then Eddie went to pick up his/our new game at midnight. While I was waiting for him to get home I started my house again on the Sims. It's not the same. I mean it's the same, but not like I had it last time. The colors are all wrong! All wrong the colors the colors. (sigh) I saved it about 8 times before I finished for the night.

I went to bed around 2am. I wanted to see Eddie's game a little before I went to sleep. It looks great. Once he is done with it I will play it.

This morning Vallerie woke up around 5:30, which was ok. I was tired from only having like 3 hours sleep, but it was my fault. I went to work around 9. That's when the "fun" happened.

I had computer problems for about 2 hours before things finally got fixed. Then I had to start a new call. This call requires math. I suck at math. Really suck at it. So, I went to CVS to buy a highly over priced calculator to help me.

I am very nervous about the call. It's been stressing me out since I heard about it on Wednesday. I did call a few people, luckily I haven't actually gotten a old of anyone, but still. It scares me. I don't want to sound like a total idiot. Not to mention, they keep making changes, so every time I think I might have a handle on it, something changes and I have to figure it out all over again.

I guess the good part about it is, we're only calling on this call for a week. The deadline for them to order is next Friday. My team mates have been very helpful and I appreciate the support. (They know how weird I can get)

I am looking forward to the weekend. A new Ghost Adventures is on tonight. We got "Horrible Bosses" in the mail through Netflix, and I think I'm going to get more yarn. I had some I was going to take back, but I ended up using it. I have a skein that I really am going to take back though.

I was hoping to give all my family and my team members scarves for Christmas. I don't know if I will have enough time. Guess we'll have to see. Maybe I'll just pick the people I like best and give them one hehe.

I also have been making ornaments for my sister. I have 3 out of 5 finished. And I finally finished all the cards my mom asked me to make. I should mail those out soon...

Thursday Weeeeeee

Last night I made a couple Christmas ornaments for my sister. Then I finished a scarf I was making and started a new one.

Eddie and I watched some tv and then went to bed.

Today a game comes out that Eddie and I both have been wanting. He is going to pick it up at midnight. I'll probably stay awake for a little while after he gets home so I can see it before going to bed.

We got "Horrible Bosses" in the mail today from netflix. I am excited so see it. It looks really funny.

Wednesday Whining

Yesterday when I got home from work I played with Vallerie until she went to bed. After that I played the Sims on my new comp. I was so excited.

I moved out the family I was playing and started making them a giant house. I got it all built, got the wall paper and carpets in and the perfect colors (which takes a while) Then I started decorating. Placing everything in a perfect place.

The outside took me a while because I had to find the right exterior paint. That took me a good hour in itself. Then I did some landscaping, added all the windows and doors. I got the kitchen, bathroom, and the dining room completely furnished and decorated. They looked fantastic. I was so happy with it. It was one of my best houses so far I think.

Well, as I was admiring my dining room, my computer closes my game restarts itself and does updates. I was furious. I spent almost 5 hours on that house and now it's just gone. Should I have saved it at some point? Yes probably, but I didn't think that computers just said "ok forget whatever you're doing, I need to do updates" and close everything. So, needless to say I was upset last night. I realize it's only a game and nothing really important, but I put a lot of time and thought into that house. So it made me sad. I can rebuild, but the inside won't be the same. The wallpapers and carpets won't be perfect like before.

I went to bed after that. I refrained from throwing the computer out the window.

Woke up around 6am today. Vallerie slept later than she has been. Maybe she is getting used to the time change?

Eddie and I decided that her number/alphabet mat had to go. We were getting tired of putting all the letters and numbers back in it and putting it back together every day. I am going to probably put a 3x3 square where her stuffed animals are so she at least has some of it to play with. I know she likes it.

After that I read a little and then it was baby nap time. I put her to nap and then I went to nap. She slept for 3 hours, which is an hour longer than normal. That made me happy. I was tired.

That's about all that happened so far... Might try knitting a hat on my round loom. I also found a new stitch for the long loom, so I will have to try that sometime soon too.

Tuesday

Yesterday after work I hung out with Vallerie. She was pretty good. She hasn't quite adjusted to the time change yet, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I put all the pictures from the camera on my new comp, and Eddie put them on his. I have a few CD's with pictures that I need to put on the comp too. Then I am going to post some of those on Facebook.

I finished a scarf I was making. I don't know if I like it. The yarn changed colors to fast at the end, so I will have to look at it more and see if it works. I don't think Eddie saw it yet. He always gives me honest opinions.

Went to bed early last night. Vallerie woke up around 4:45am. Slightly early, but that's ok. I had planned to be up shortly after that to get ready to come into the office. Eddie was up, or should I say hadn't slept yet. He actually slept yesterday from about 1pm to 7pm, so he'll probably be tired today. He's got his days and nights all mixed up.

Monday too soon!

This weekend went by way too fast.

Saturday after work we all just hung out at home. After Vallerie went to bed Eddie and I played video games. I stayed up until about 1am. Vallerie got up at a decent hour Sunday morning considering the time change.

Sunday morning I watched the movie "Paul" that we got through Netflix. It was pretty good. Eddie watched it without me, so I had to watch it alone. Boo Hoo.

Later that day I went grocery shopping and tidied up the house. Did some laundry too. I went to bed around 10pm, which was nice.

Sleepy today. Vallerie got up around 5:30am, which isn't terrible. I just need to get more sleep.

A bunch of new games come out next week. We have been saving some money for them, and Eddie has some credit at the game store. One comes out Thurs at midnight and the others come out Monday at midnight. Eddie will be picking them up.

I decided to wait on buying a game that is already out because those other games are coming out. I don't want to go into game overload!

Saturday

So I totally forgot to blog yesterday. Maybe because it was an exciting day!

First off I went into the office and had quite a bit of work to do, then at about 1pm we had movie day! So, we all walked down to the theater and saw a movie. We got to choose between Puss n' Boots or Moneyball. I choose Moneyball. I have a feeling I will be seeing my fair share (and possibly the neighborhoods fair share) of Puss n Boots.

After that it was straight home so Eddie and I could get a computer. I guess I was "late" because Eddie thought I was getting off at 3pm rather than 4, so his sister who was going to watch Vallerie was waiting forever until we dropped her off. (She wasn't mad)

When we dropped her off, Eddie's Brother in law said that the fairgrounds were having one of those liquidation events where they sell electronics and stuff for really cheap. Eddie and I decided to check that out.

We ended up getting 2 laptops! From what we can tell we got a fantastic deal. We spend less than we were going to spend on one.

I am mad at the bank though. I called and asked them to raise my limit, but they apparently didn't because the 2nd one wouldn't go through. Luckily I had a back up plan.

Once we finally got home (we were so excited we forgot to eat, YES Vallerie ate) we messed around on our computers and tried to get things the way we wanted and stuff.

I installed the Sims 3 and the expansions on mine and it took forever. The 2 things that took the most time were 1. I bought one of them digitally, so it had to download. It took like 2 hours, and that's not even including installing it. 2. When I went to install it, it said my game had to be up to date. Well it was, so I had to find a way around that. The only solution was to download the new install thingy, and that took a good hour and  half to download. Needless to say I went to bed around 2am. That is VERY late for me. Especially since I had to work this morning.

I was glad to see that there was not a new Ghost Adventures on last night. I would have been upset if I would have missed it. I think there's a new one next week.

I was just thinking! Now we can upload all of our pictures! Yay!! Facebook is gonna explode because of all the pics we're going to add. Eeeeeee I am so excited to do that.

Ok, back to work. I got people to call!!

Thursday almost Friday!

Yesterday after work I finished the New Years cards I was making. I also knitted a bunch of the scarf for my co-worker. I should be done with it today sometime.

After that I watched some tv and went to bed.

Vallerie had a pickle, and by the time she was done everything was covered in pickle smell. Eddie had to give her a bath. Apparently, she was eating the bath water/bubbles and threw up. Silly baby. She's weird/

Eddie got the oil changed in the car today. He also got the air filter replaced. It only cost $25. He said that traffic was horrible. He hates bad traffic.

Tomorrow we are probably going to get a comp. I am really excited. I am hoping we can find a good one for a decent price. It is also movie day at the office. That means, we get to go to the movies in town. There are only 2 movies showing. I'm not even sure which ones they are. It will be fun though. I always like movie day.

Wednesday sleepy sleepy

Yesterday after I got home from work I hung out with Vallerie. Then after she was in bed I went and started a few Happy New Years cards. I will probably finish them today.

Eddie was kind enough to sharpen my cricut blades and paper trimmer blades. Now I don't have to go buy new ones. Yay!

I watched a couple episodes of Damages and then went to bed.

I got the stamps I ordered in the mail today. Now I can finish the other cards that I started.

Vallerie was a sweetie this morning. She wasn't real fussy and just did her thing until nap time. She woke up at a decent hour too (not including the 4am brief wake up)/

Tuesday

Work was crazy yesterday. We had a discount deadline, so there were a zillion calls coming in. It kept me busy.

After work we went over to my grandpa's to show off Vallerie's costume. My Aunt and Gpa were there. They had a little bag of candy and a light up pumpkin wand for her. She really liked the pumpkin wand. She even said "thank you".

After that we stopped by Eddie's moms and then we went to his sisters to go trick or treating.

Vallerie had a great time and she did so good. She walked the entire time and did not want to be carried. By the end of the night she got the hang of going up to people's doors. She only got scared one time by a guy who was dressed as a spider. She was so cute.

After Vallerie was in bed (way past her bed time) I watched the remaining episodes of Drop Dead Diva on Netflix, then went to bed.

Monday again. The weekends are too short

What did we do this weekend. Let me see if I can remember...

Friday night I watched Ghost Adventures, and I actually stayed awake the whole time. (That's quite an accomplishment)

Saturday we went shopping. We got some food at Sams club. Vallerie LOVES canned chicken. She will stuff her mouth full of it. We have to tell her to slow down.

We went to Target and returned the little pink boots we bought. We decided that they were too hard to get on, so instead of getting a bigger size we found some awesome tennis shoes. They are super cool!! As we were looking around the clothes, I came around to our cart and saw that a onesie was put in it, so I picked it up and looked at it, well, it turns out it wasn't our cart... Some lady put it in her cart and I was there just taking it out... I was so embarrassed.

We went to Michael's to get some yarn, for my sister's replacement scarf, and a Happy New Year stamp. They did not have the stamp. I may have to get one online.

We were going to take a look at computers, but Vallerie was a little fussy, so we decided to come home.

Sunday was a lazy day. Eddie slept most of the day because he didn't sleep well Saturday night, so me and Vallerie hung out. She was pretty good.

I made dinner! I was very proud of myself. I made Kielbasa, mashed potatoes, and baked Mac and Cheese. No, it wasn't terribly difficult, but I did manage to get them all finished at the same time. Eddie said it was good, and Vallerie ate some, so I know it wasn't horrible.

I watched some new episodes of "Drop Dead Diva" on Netflix. I only have 3 more to go before the season is over. I think I will go back to Damages after that.

I found out how much my bonus was! Let's just say it is enough to get a computer. So, we are going to look for one this weekend. Once we know what we want we can look for deals. I am rather excited. I have some cricut software that I haven't been able to use because my comp is not where my cricut is, so now I will be able to use it. Whoo Hoo!

Friday!

Last night after work I watched the season finale of Project Runway. I was happy with the winner. After that there was a new show called Project Accessory. It was pretty good, but all it really did was make me want to make jewelry... sigh.

I finished up "The Riches" on Netflix, turns out I only had 1 episode left to watch. I am kind of sad they didn't continue the series.

Not sure what we are doing this weekend. I would like to do something with Vallerie in her Halloween costume, but I don't know what there is to do. Maybe Monday we will go to the mall to trick or treat. If we did we would take her cousin, so it wasn't weird. I mean a 1.5yr old can't really eat the candy, so we would need a kid who was older to go too.

I think I see how much my bonus is this year today. Kind of excited, but I probably shouldn't get my hopes up. I am wishing for enough to buy a new computer. Eddie and I would like a laptop so we can move it into different rooms, then we could also try and fix our tower computer so we would each have one.

Lots to do today. Better go for now.

Thursday, but I thought it was Friday

I woke up today and thought it was Friday. Oh well. What's one more day.

Yesterday I worked until 9pm, so not much happened. I watched a couple episodes of "The Riches" on Netflix. Eddie and I used to watch it together when it was on cable tv, but we stopped watching the 2nd (and last) season. I decided to finish it up myself. I still have 4 episodes or so to go, so that should keep me entertained for a while.

A co-worker of mine asked me to make her a scarf. So I have been making samples of all the stitches I know. So far there are 6. Once she picks one I will start on it. I still have to do my sisters too, so I will have to be on a knitting spree.

I also have to finish the cards that my mom wanted for Christmas gifts. I only have a few more to do, so it shouldn't be hard. I am a little concerned as to how I will mail them to her since regular mail and Fed Ex have disappointed me lately.

I think there are critters in the wall. For the last couple days I have been in my upstairs office and have heard, what appears to be squirrels, in the outside wall. It's kinda driving me bonkers. Dalmo isn't too happy about it either.

Working late again tonight, so I'm sure there will be no exciting things happening. Although, we did get a new Netflix movie in the mail. "Paul" It's about an alien... supposed to be funny. We shall see.

Wednesday Sigh

My mom left for home yesterday morning, so I was sad all day.

Then I found out that the birthday presents I mailed to my sister were presumably stolen from the front door of her apartment. So that's depressing. I am going to make her a new scarf though.

Had a ton of work to do yesterday, which was nice. I had to take some of it home with me so I could finish it. I don't mind at all really, it will be fun, as long as I don't lose anything.

I brought home the computer desk from work during lunch yesterday and set up my room when I got home. It's better. I think I still need a craft table though. The 2 I have are drastically different in terms of height. It would be nice to have one long table instead of the 2. Other that that, the room looks good. It's a little cramped, but I just have so many good things.

I started reading a new book. It's weird. It's called "My Sweet Audrina" by VC Andrews. I will probably finish it fairly quickly.

Vallerie said thank you to me today. I handed her a piece of her sandwich and she said "ay coo". Normally she will say it after we say it to her, but this time she did it on her own. She also did a good job of feeding herself this morning with a spoon. It wasn't anywhere near perfect, but several of the bites actually made it to her mouth. Very proud of my little girl.

I realize I haven't blogged in a week.

My mom is here (YAY) and she has kept me fairly busy. We went shopping a couple times. We went out to eat, and just hung at the house.

It's been really great having her here. I wish we lived closer so I could see her more.

We got Vallerie's Halloween costume. She is going to be a bee. We're probably going to put her in the costume today.

My mom leaves tomorrow and I am sad. I don't want her to go, but she has to.

That's about all for now. I could go into detail about what we did all week, but I think my mom is the only one who reads this, so it is probably pointless...

Tuesday Tired

Yesterday after work I finished some laundry and did the dishes. There weren't too many, so it didn't take long.

After Vallerie went to bed, I watched a little of "Damages" on Netflix. I ended up falling asleep on the couch. Eddie woke me up around 10 and then I went in the bedroom and watched tv for a little while before falling asleep again.

I have no clue why I am so tired today, I slept a lot yesterday. Oh well. I will wake up soon enough.

I have a doc appt this afternoon. Just a shot, so it will be quick. Then I think we are going to get a few groceries for when my mom visits. She will (probably) be here tomorrow! YAY!

That's about all there is for now. Maybe something interesting will happen today. I doubt it.

This may not be "interesting", but the office did some updating to one of our meeting rooms, and they have a computer table that they are giving me. I don't know if it will fit in my car though! If not, I don't know how I am going to get it home. Maybe I will see if Eddie wants to make a trip to the office tonight to check it out.

Weekend stuff

Friday after work we hung out at home. Eddie and I watched "Just Go With It". It was pretty good, but very predictable.

Saturday we went out to try and find a Halloween costume for Vallerie. Still no luck. We didn't see anything that said "buy me" so we didn't buy anything. Then we went to Kroger and got some groceries. We had chili for dinner and it was really good.

I watched the last 3 episodes of True Blood. Eddie only watched one. He was tired. I was disappointed. I thought there would be a bigger cliffhanger at the end.

Sunday I started tidying the house for my moms visit. It didn't take too long. I still have to do a couple more things, but they won't take long either.

I finished another scarf, and started a new one. The new one is for Eddie. I'm not sure who the other one is for.

I started a new show on Netflix. "Damages" it's pretty good. I'm about 4 episodes in. I think there are only 3 seasons.

Not much else to say. Nothing is really going on... oh well.

Friday Yay

Yesterday after work I watched some tv. Our Netflix wasn't working, (and still isn't working today) I was going to try and watch a new show. Oh well.

I did a little knitting on my sisters scarf. It's a little over 1/2 way done. I hope to have it finished before next Tuesday. That's when I plan on mailing her presents.

I bought 4 books online. I hope they come soon!

Vallerie got scared of a spider. She saw it on the wall and freaked out. I wasn't there, but Eddie told me about it. She's been getting scared of a lot of things lately. I hope it's just a phase.

Working in the office today, and I have a lot to do.

Not sure what our weekend plans are. I have to work tomorrow. I think we might go out and look for Vallerie's Halloween costume again. We were thinking of a bunny, but if we cant find that or something cuter I am going to make her a costume. I got the idea from a co-worker who saw it online. Thursday

Yesterday I worked until 9pm so it was a little boring after work.

During my lunch break I cleaned the kitchen a bit. (exciting)

Then a little while later I brought Vallerie a stuffed animal from upstairs. It's a Scrooge McDuck, and it was Eddie's. Well, there is something about it that Vallerie doesn't like because she won't go near it. I think she might be scared of it.

Then I tried to give her a little giraffe stuffed animal. She didn't like that one either, but this time she would take it, and then immediately throw it (with force) on the ground. Oh well, I tried!

Watched the last episodes of Desperate Housewives on Netflix last night. Now I have to find another show. That should be fun. I hope I can find one quick.

Went to bed after that...

Nothing exciting has happened today so far.

Wednesday

Yesterday after work I got some pizza. It was a surprise for Eddie. I am not good at surprises, so I'm happy I got to do a little something nice for him without him guessing what it was.

Unfortunately, his pizza was not good. He said it wasn't cooked enough, and it was worse reheated. Mine was good though.

I started my sisters scarf. I took it apart about 4 times because it wasn't doing what I wanted it to do, but I think I have it now. Hopefully I can get it done by Friday. I wanted to mail it with her other presents.

I watched a few episodes of Desperate Housewives. I only have a few more left until I am done with season 7. That's all that's on Netflix now, so I will have to find another show. I got some good suggestions from friends on Facebook.

Vallerie has 2 1/2 teeth they are so cute. They are all on one side, so that makes it even cuter. She's starting to bite and pull.

She gave me 2 kisses today. One on the forehead and the other on the nose. It was awesome. I love how she is getting more affectionate. Her little hugs and kisses are the best thing in the world.

She's getting a little more picky in what she eats. We're running out of ideas for quick food. We tried cottage cheese. I'm not sure she likes it. I put some applesauce in with it once. I think she liked that better. She does like jello with fruit. Probably not the most healthy snack, but whatever. She likes it.

Can't wait for my mom to visit. Hopefully she will never want to leave. Ever... lol

Tuesday Tuesday

9 AM
Yesterday after work we went over to my gpas just to say hi. We didn't stay long.

Vallerie got scared again. I think because  of all the creepy old looking Halloween mannequins she thought my gpa was one. So she cried for a little while, then she ended up playing in the leaves on his porch.

We went to Walmart to finish getting my sisters birthday presents. I got some more yarn to make her a scarf.

I started a new scarf last night, but after getting about 6in down, I decided I didn't like it, so I took it apart. I think I will use some other yarn for it this time. I don't know what stitch I am going to use though. I have like 4 that I can do, but I don't know which would look best with the yarn.

Watched some Desperate Housewives on netflix and went to bed late. I wanted to get to bed earlier than normal (12AM) but I didn't. Oh well, I'm not too tired today. I'm drinking a coffee energy drink, so I will be amped up for most of the day.

Fussy Baby Weekend

Friday after work we went into town to get some groceries at Sams Club. Vallerie did not cooperate. She was fussy the whole time. We also went to Walmart (where she was fussy). Eddie made a delicious dinner. Steak and asparagus. It was awesome.

Saturday Vallerie and I went into town to get my sister's birthday presents. She did not want to cooperate. She did pretty good at Mejier. When we went to Target she got fussy and I gave her some chocolate milk (which she managed to spill in the cart, not on the stuff though) and a nutrigrain bar.

That calmed her for about 15 minutes.

We then went to Once Upon a Child to get her some pants and long sleeved shirts. She was not happy there either. She spilled her bottle on most of the clothes in the cart (only a little dribble on everything) but she was fussy the whole time so I had to hurry. Not to mention the place was jam packed and it's really cramped in there anyway. We did get her some good stuff, and I didn't spend very much.

Sunday we went into town again (busy weekend!) and saw Eddie's mom and Aunt. Vallerie was fussy (seeing a pattern??) His mom got a little pumpkin scarecrow flashlight that when you turn it on the mouth opens up and that's where the light comes out of. Well, Eddie did that, and Vallerie freaked out. He scared her SO bad. She couldn't even look at it without crying after that. I really don't know what was so scary about it.

After that we decided to go see if we could find her a Halloween costume. (No gnome this year) We went to 2 places. (She was unhappy at both) The 2nd place we went to was a Halloween store. They had this creepy mannequin at the door that said hello (or something) in a creepy voice. Vallerie got scared at that and started to cry.

As we were walking around (finding nothing that was cute) we saw gorilla masks. Eddie said I should put one on and try to scare Vallerie (because I guess she wasn't traumatized enough for the day) so I did. She saw me put it on, and then I tiptoed to her and said "boo" She freaked out again. I felt bad. Eddie was laughing.

We did buy her a pacifier with a pumpkin on it. We were looking for Billy Bob teeth pacifiers, but they didn't have any.

As we were walking out of the store, the mannequin that scared her on the way in, also scared her on the way out.

We got some McDonald's and then went home. Vallerie ate pretty good. After she was in bed I knitted and Eddie played his game.

Over the weekend I tried out a new knitting stitch on my knifty knitter. It's pretty cool. I am almost done with the scarf I started. I have about 10 more to make before Christmas. I hope I can get them all done. My fingers kind of hurt though. Maybe I need to be gentler. I don't know.

Also, I am scared to go out the back door. There is a giant freaking praying mantis that keeps terrorizing me! The other day I saw it, and it was just a little thing, so not so bad. Then about 2 days ago I was smoking on the porch, and it jumped on me! This time it had about tripled in size it was huge!! So I freaked out. I came inside and it was inside where the sliding door closes. I couldn't squish it (I think it's illegal) so I had to use the broom to try and sweep it out. It made these weird noises and finally I got it outside again.

Well, it stayed on the outside wall for a day so I didn't go out that door. Then yesterday it was on the outdoor broom handle, so I thought that was ok. When I went outside (in the daylight) I made sure to stare at it the whole time I was outside, just in case it decided to get any funny ideas and jump on me again.

Then by about 3pm it wasn't on the broom handle anymore, so now I won't go out that door until I see where it is, or don't see it at all for a few days. It's just so creepy. I know it's thinking "I'm going to get you hahaha"

Thursday and Friday

Wednesday (I forgot to blog) I started knitting a scarf using the knitting pattern I found online. It's turning out really cool.

That's about all I did besides work.

Thursday night after work I knitted a bit and played some of my video game. Then Eddie and I watched Thor. Well, I watched it, and Eddie fell asleep. It was a pretty good movie.

Today is payday! I think we're gonna do some grocery shopping. I also have to buy my sisters birthday presents. Depending on how much money we have I might buy some yarn. We might also go and start buying Vallerie's Halloween outfit. We'll probably go to the resale store to do that.

I have to work tomorrow. Hopefully I go to bed early tonight. Lately it's been midnight or later before I go to bed. Not so good when Vallerie wakes up at 6 every day.

Need a Whiskey Wednesday

Today has been busy, which is actually a nice change. As soon as I came into work I had a ton of things to do.

Last night after work I played some more of my video game. I stayed up until about midnight. It was fun.

Vallerie has a new-ish thing she is doing. She has this foam mat with letters and numbers that pop out. She likes to take the square pieces (with the letter/number out) and put it over her head. So she is essentially wearing a foam square "necklace". It's so funny. Sometimes I really don't know how she gets certain letters/numbers on her head. Like the letter Z... it's not very big how does she do it??

I made a box out of 6 of the foam squares yesterday, I thought it would be fun for Vallerie, but all she did was put it on her head, and then she was in the middle of the box with her head and feet out... It was really cute. Eddie got some pictures.

Started making Christmas lists yesterday. Trying to think of things to buy Vallerie and Eddie is hard. I am covered. I told Eddie to think of things now rather than wait until 2 weeks before Christmas.

My mom is coming to visit (YAY!) I may have mentioned that already. I am excited. I really miss her. Maybe she can help  think of things for Vallerie. She has a ton of toys already.

Might try and get Valerie's Halloween costume this weekend. I want her to be a gnome. I don't really like the premade gnome costumes, so I thought I would see if I could find some cute overalls and a cute little shirt to go with it. I was hoping to have a co-workers wife crochet me a gnome hat. I want to get the clothes first though, that way if it doesn't work I'm not stuck with a gnome hat. Although, it would be fun to see peoples reactions if we went out with it on Valleries head...

Still need to make my mom a Birthday card. It needs to be fantastic, so I am going to plan it out before hand.

Tuesday the 4th

Yesterday after work Vallerie and I did some dishes, then we had fettuccine Alfredo for dinner. Eddie didn't really like the sauce, and Vallerie had more fun throwing it around the room than actually eating any of it. I thought it was ok.

After that I went upstairs and finished my 12 "love always" cards. I was going to make more, but came to a road block, so I played a video game instead. I played longer than I wanted and ended up going to bed around 12am.

I can't believe it's October already! September went by way too fast. Vallerie's 1yr 3mo check up is next week. I'm excited to see how much she weighs now.

That's about all I know. Need to think of a great card for my moms birthday. I have another plan, but I'm not going to say what it is... hehe.

Another Weekend Gone Too Fast

It's Monday. Again. Sigh

Saturday we went to eat at Arni's Pizza with my sister and Grandpa. It was pretty good. Vallerie had a little meltdown, but was ok after the food came. We ate a little late, so it was around her nap time.

I did something out of the ordinary.  I had a salad, and I actually put salad dressing on it! AND ate it! It was Herb Vinaigrette. Not too bad. I am still undecided though. It's probably something I will have to be in the mood for.

After we ate, Eddie went home with Vallerie and put her to nap, and I went to my gpas and hung out for a couple hours with my sister. We had some cake and ice cream, and my gpa told us some of his war stories.

Sunday was a lazy day. Eddie got a whole day off and spent the day in bed (lucky him) Vallerie wasn't too bad. She has learned how to get on top of the coffee table, which isn't good. She will press the power button on the PlayStation repeatedly. She really doesn't like to be taken off of the table.

My cat has been annoying me lately. He will go into the living room and then when Vallerie comes over to try and pet/hit/stomp on him he will just lay there and hiss and yowl. It's like.. Hello?! You can leave the room you know. I'm just scared he's going to bite her again. That really ticked me off. (She's fine now by the way)

Today will probably go slow, just because it's Monday. Got my heater on. It's cold!

Friday Finally!

Last night after work Eddie and I ate spaghetti and watched the movie "Hall Pass". It was pretty good. I don't know how Eddie liked it.

I started making a set of cards. There are 12 of them. They say "love always" and sometime I am going to add hearts on the front. I think they would be good for any occasion. I was thinking Valentines Day, but really they could be sent for just about anything.

Vallerie was fussy so she went to bed an hour early. She woke up around 5 today, but stayed pretty quiet and content in her crib until about 6.

Got some paperwork to do today at work. Happy about that.

My sister is coming to town tomorrow. We're going to have lunch at Arni's with my grandpa, then go to his house and have cake and ice cream. I am making little cheese cakes.

Thursday

Yesterday I made 12 thank you cards. They look pretty good. I also made some changes to the card that I made Tues night. I like it a little better now.

Today is going slow. I am working until 9pm tonight. Luckily it is from home.

I have been really bad about cleaning the house this week. It's starting to get pretty messy. I will have to do some cleaning either tomorrow or this weekend.

Wednesday Wow

Today has been hectic. There were some problems at work (a guy we sent some important paperwork to got an empty box) so I am trying to track down the info to give him.

Yesterday was uneventful. I made a couple cards, I don't like one of them though. Planning on taking some pictures on the actual camera soon.

Eddie oiled the baby's door so it doesn't squeak anymore (yay)

Watched Eddie play his video game and then went to bed.

Vallerie didn't wake up really early which was nice. She did get up at 5:30, which was not so nice, but that's ok. I am not looking forward to daylight savings time. I hope it doesn't mess with her schedule too much.

Tuesday blues

Yesterday after work we didn't do much. We watched some tv and Eddie played his game.

Vallerie was fussy. Her bottom teeth are poking through, and I think she is not feeling good. I gave her a bath (a green one) and she seemed to have a good time like always. I even got her to smile so I could see her soon to be teeth.

After she went to bed I finished a couple cards. I was going to make more, but I didn't feel good, so I went downstaris and watched tv until I fell asleep.

Vallerie decided she was not happy, and woke up at 4am and then about every 20 min after that. She finally wouldn't go back to sleep around 5:30, so that's when I got up to get ready for work.

I hope she is good today, I know Eddie is getting a little stressed out. Hopefully her teeth come in soon. I don't like seeing her unhappy. (I also don't like to see Eddie unhappy)

Working in the office today. Lots of paperwork to do (yay)

Monday... what a weekend

Saturday after work I cleaned the house a bit. Eddie's sister and her husband were coming over for dinner, and the house needed a clean sweep, so that's what I did. After that, Vallerie and I went to Walmart to get groceries for dinner. (I also got some glitter glue)

Before Eddie's sister came by, my grandpa came over for a few minutes... He looked like he got in a fight. His face was bruised and swollen and his arms were all bruised. He said that he was in the kitchen, and the last thing he remembers is waking up on the floor with blood coming out of his nose and mouth. He called my uncle to come help him, but he didn't go to the hospital. (sigh) He didn't get in a fight, he passed out and fell on the kitchen floor.

This worries me. I talked to my mom and sister about it, and we're probably going to talk to my cousin next. I hope it doesn't happen again!

We had a good visit with Eddie's sister. They hung out until about 10PM.

Sunday was not a good day. It was stressful. Vallerie was not a happy baby all day. I think she felt bad because she's teething. And then the cat bit her, it wasn't a light bite either. She still has marks on her. She cried for a while after that.

Later on in the day. probably an hour before she went to bed, I had the bright idea of giving her a frozen teething ring. I have no idea why I didn't think of it earlier. She was content after that. So, now there are 3 in the freezer.

I made a couple cards last night. They are New Years themed. I used some of my new glitter glue on them.

Went to bed around 12PM. I couldn't really sleep. Vallerie woke up at 4:00am and then again at 5:00 am, I got her out of her crib around 6am. So I am a little sleepy today. I just hope she has a better day than yesterday. We were all pretty miserable.

Storming Saturday

Yesterday after work we went into town and got some goodies. I got some paper. 50% off at Hobby Lobby. It's just plain colored cardstock, nothing fancy. But, I got a lot of it for like 10 bucks! Eddie finally used what was left on his store credit at the game store and picked up a game for himself.

We ate at Steak N Shake with Eddie's sister, her husband and his daughter. It was good. Vallerie had some mini burgers.

After that we came home and I watched Ghost Adventures and Eddie played his game. I was going to make cards after Ghost Adventures, but I ended up falling asleep to the show that was on afterwards.

Today Eddie's sister and her husband (the ones we ate with yesterday) are coming over for dinner. Still not sure what we are eating. I have to tidy the house before they come over too.

This weekend is the Feast of the Hunter's Moon Festival. Eddie and I decided not to go. We've only been once, and that was a few years ago. Since it's raining it doesn't really matter if we had wanted to go.

Not much else going on today. I have to work until 12PM, so that will take a chunk of my day. They are serving breakfast in the office for anyone who came in. I decided to stay home and work. Breakfast is great, but I really didn't want to drive 25 minutes to get some and then only work 4 hours.

Another Friday!

Yesterday after work I made a couple cards. I think they turned out good. I used some glitter glue on them, so I haven't seen them dry. I hope the glue didn't warp the paper.

I was sad that I didn't get to see my baby when I got home. I really wanted to go in and wake her up to say hi, but I resisted the urge.

Eddie found the lost phone. Vallerie threw it over the baby gate. One of her new favorite games!

This morning Vallerie was being a little jerk baby! I was getting ready for work and she was not wanting to cooperate. She would play the "throw the bottle" game and then cry, and the "lets take a drink and spit it out" game. I think she wasn't feeling well because her normal things didn't make her happy. We gave her some Tylenol.

Eddie wasn't feeling well last night. He said that Vallerie had a runny nose (probably associated with teething) and he thinks he caught whatever she has. My poor family is getting sick.

I hope I don't catch it, but I probably will.

Going to do a little shopping today since it's payday. Probably going to go and get some groceries. Eddie's sister and her husband are coming over for sinner tomorrow, so we have to figure out something to feed them. We were thinking of going to Sams Club to see if they had any good deals on meat.

Bust today. I almost forgot to blog!

Yesterday after work I played a videogame for a long time. I didn't mean to, but time just slipped away. By the time I realized it, it was 1AM! I was planning on making some cards, but I never got around to it.

Not much happened this morning. Vallerie wanted to play one of her new "games". It was where she uses her finger on your lips to make the buh buh buh sound. Anyway her finger nails were too long and she scratched my lips, so I didn't want to play that game anymore. She didn't like that I didn't want to play, so she started crying. I felt bad, but it really hurt! She took a nap shortly after that.

I have a lot of paperwork to do today. Yay. It's fun and should make the day go by fast!

The day did go by fast! I am 1/2 way done processing 240 license agreements. The hard part is over. No telling how many will come in tomorrow though.

I got a little shaky a while ago. I think it's because I hadn't eaten anything all day. I ate some crackers, so I am a little better now. Although typing is a little difficult (thank god for spell check!). Maybe I am trying to type too fast, I don't know.

Get to go home soon. Then it's up early to work tomorrow. I hope I can wind down soon tonight.

A funny story. I called (or tried to call) Eddie at home. It was busy. Which only means 1 thing. Vallerie got a hold of the phone. I finally reached him on the cell, and he said that Vallerie had hidden the phone somewhere and it was off the hook. He said he has looked everywhere. He can't use the "find the phone" button on the base because it is off the hook, and once it's dead it won't help either. I guess I will have to help him look when I get home.

Hopefully we find it!

I am a little irritated today. Facebook made some more changes, and now all the top stories and recent activity is all jumbled together. I know it's a stupid reason to be mad, but I liked it the way it was. I don't give a rats behind about "top stories" I want to see recent activity stuff. Oh well. It's only facebook right?

Anyway! Yesterday after work Vallerie and I went to the grocery store. She was a good shopper this time. After she went to bed I made a couple cards. I made a Birthday card for a friend at work, and a Thank You card for our neighbors who mowed our lawn this summer.

I think they turned out pretty good. The clouds are sparkly!

After that I went down stairs and watched Eddie play his video game, and fell asleep. I moseyed into bed around 1AM I think.

Working late today (from home) I hope I don't have nearly as many problems as I did yesterday. They said they were fixing the troubles people were having. Lets hope they do!

Tuesday troubles

Having problems with my work comp. Not really the computer itself, but connecting to the work server and stuff keeps messing up and kicking me out of all my programs. I am not the only one with those problems though. A lot of the people who work from home have them. It's just frustrating to have to reload everything multiple times a day. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, but then there are those days where it feels like you get nothing done because everything keeps going wrong. I think today is going to be one of those.

I have already had several problems this morning. I really hope that was the last of it.. we will see.

Yesterday after work we didn't do anything really. Me and Vallerie ate some watermelon. Eddie played his game and I watched. Then we went to bed. Well, I went to bed. Eddie stayed up for a while.

I was going to make some cards, but I decided not to. Maybe tonight. I have 2 birthdays and a Thank You to do, plus I have to finish the ones for my mom. I have some good ideas for the birthday ones though.

Had a great weekend!

Friday after work we ate with my Gpa, Aunt, and Uncle. I had french toast it was awesome! Vallerie had a biscuit and gravy. Eddie had some kind of steak.

Saturday Eddie's little sister took Vallerie for the whole day. She picked her up around 9am and kept her until 7pm! Eddie and I really didn't know what to do with ourselves. We went into town and got Vallerie some tennis shoes. I think they are way too big, but Eddie doesn't, so we'll keep them. There's a pair of pink boots I want to get her, so we'll call it even.

We also went to the game store. Eddie used some of his in store credit and got a game.

Sunday I was in the cleaning mood. It doesn't happen very often! Vallerie was great. She was in the living room just hanging out while I ran around the house tidying up. We had a lot of clutter that needed to be dealt with, so that was my main goal. It worked out great. The only rooms I didn't get to were Vallerie's room (which isn't too bad) and the bathroom. Shouldn't take long to do either one of those though.

Today I am working from home until about 4pm. Vallerie isn't awake yet and it's 7:15. I would guess she will be up very soon. I actually had to set my alarm this morning. Normally she gets up around 6:30, but the last few days it's been 7ish.

I forgot to mention, she's getting TEETH. I may have said that before and it didn't happen, but this time it's for real. She has the little bumps on her gums and everything. Yay. Eddie's kinda sad. He thinks she is growing up too fast.

I'm thirsty. Hopefully the kid gets up soon so I can go get a drink.

Friday Friday Everybody Get Down on Friday

Yesterday I had a good day at work. I took on a new project, and learned some new things. It was fun. I'm glad that I get opportunities do do different things.

After I got home it was about 9:30PM, so it was late. Didn't do much other than play a little pogo.com and watch Eddie play one of his games. I actually fell asleep while watching.

Vallerie woke up a little early today, so I gave her her pacifier and hoped she would sleep a little longer. It worked! (It doesn't always) She slept for another hour and that was fine by me.

Having dinner with my Aunt and Gpa tonight. My Aunt is headed to Budapest to see her daughter so we wanted to get together before she leaves tomorrow.

Tomorrow Eddie's little sister is taking Vallerie. We're not sure if it will be for the day or all night. I don't know if we'll be able to stand being away from her too long.

My sister was supposed to visit this weekend, but she had a change of plans. She thinks she will visit sometime next month though.

Thursday Stuff

Lets see. Yesterday was long. I worked late from home, so it wasn't terrible. Just long.

Didn't do much after I got off work. Ate a little dinner then watched some tv.

Eddie said "Vallerie and I made you lunch today" I was thinking, did I miss them calling me to eat? Then Eddie said "Vallerie ate it". At least I was thought of.

I did manage to make 9 Christmas cards yesterday. Nothing fancy. Last year I bought some sparkly gift tags from CVS when they were on clearance for like 90% off. Well, I used those on the cards and just layered some paper underneath it. Didn't take me long at all. I have a bunch left too, so I can make more when I am bored.

Not much going on today. Working late again, this time it's in the office. There;s a meeting that I have to go to, so I needed to be here today. Glad that tomorrow is Friday and I don't have to work Saturday.

Whatever Wednesday

Yesterday when I got home Vallerie was napping, so I decided to take a little snooze myself. She got up around 5:30 PM, which was when I was going to get her up if she hadn't woken up by that time.

We did some dishes and she was a pretty good kid that evening. I guess she was not very good earlier in the day.

After she was in bed I moved some of my office/craft room stuff around. The tv was on my sewing machine table, so I moved if off of there and set it on an actual tv stand.

I need the sewing machine for something my sister wants me to try and make. Which I started on last night. It isn't turning out so good, so I think I will have to tweak my pattern a little. No biggie.

After I was done messing with that, I went downstairs and watched some tv and went to bed.

Very exciting.

Today, I think I am going to do some laundry. Since I am working until 9pm I'll probably run downstairs on my break and start some. Vallerie is napping now. She should be awake any time. I wish she would hurry. I have to pee! I know tmi, but I can't go when she's on the verge of waking up from her nap. The bathroom floor squeaks and her room is right next to it. I will just wait until she is up.

A dull Tuesday

Today is kind of blah. I think it's going to be a warm day. I was really liking the cooler weather.

Yesterday after work we didn't do much. Vallerie was being a little butthead. I don't know what her deal was. She just was not a happy baby. I think she was tired because Eddie said that she didn't nap very well in the afternoon.

After Vallerie went to bed I went upstairs and made 3 Easter cards. I think they turned out pretty cute. I am going to need a new cricut blade soon though. Either that or see if I can sharpen them somehow at home. I'm sure there's a way.

After the cards were done, I went down stairs and watched the new episode of Eureka, and the new episode of Hells Kitchen. Then I went to bed.

This morning I didn't want to get up. Not that I was really tired, I just didn't want to get out of bed. I just wanted to stay there all day.

Have a headache today, hopefully it goes away soon. I am thirsty, so I think I am going to go get a soda from the gas station. I need smokes anyway.

Monday. Our anniversary

Today is Me and Eddie's anniversary. 12 years!

Saturday we went to the grocery store and Eddie bought some corn beef hash. He's never eaten that before. I was a little scared. It wasn't that bad actually. Vallerie seemed to like it too.

Vallerie had a purple bath with bubbles. I don't think she realized it was any different than her normal baths, but it was pretty.

I made some cookies. They were sugar cookies, and I used the gnome cookie cutter my sister got for me. They turned out pretty good. I ended up buying the premade dough and just flattening it out. Here's a picture:

I had some left over dough, so I made a few mushrooms. The hats and mushroom tops were colored with red food coloring and egg yolk (put on before baking) The beards and mushroom spots are vanilla icing. 

Eddie and I watched "Your Highness" It was kinda funny. My stomach was a little upset, so I was kind of more concerned with that than the movie.

Sunday was kind of a lazy day. I did the dishes and we had awesome hot ham and cheese for dinner. I did quite a bit of napping.

I could not sleep last night. I tried and tried. I think I finally dozed out at around 3am. Little Vallerie thought she would be cool and wake up at 4:30... Luckily it was a temporary thing. I got up around 6:30 when Vallerie decided to wake up for good. I'm actually less tired than I thought I would be.

Eddie and I don't have plans today for our anniversary. I think his little sister is going to take Vallerie next weekend. We haven't decided if it will be for a day or a day and a night. I'm not even sure if we could handle not being with her that long.

My sister is coming to town this weekend for a wedding. I think we are going to go to lunch. My aunt leaves for Budapest the same day my sister is here. We're going to try and see if we can get our gpa to go to lunch with us.

Vallerie drew (scribbled) her first picture today. We gave her a few highlighters and she had a good time coloring. When we tried to take the highlighters away she would swing her arms back and fourth and screech. It was pretty cute. I have it hanging on the wall. I'll put it in her baby book later.

Got my book in the mail today. It's the final book in the Flowers in the Attic series. It tells the tale of the mom from the first book. Should be good.

Sleepy Saturday

Sleepy today. Working from home. Wish I could nap.

Yesterday after I got home from work, we went to Walmart and bought a few needed things. Vallerie has grown out of her tennis shoes, so we were going to get her a pair, but they didn't have any that we liked.

We got her a couple Halloween themed outfits. One is a sleep outfit, it's pretty cute, the other is just a long sleeved onesie. We also got her some bath stuff. Mr Bubble bubble bath and some tablets that turn the water different colors.

We came home and ate dinner (McDonald's) and then put Vallerie to bed. It was too past her bed time to give her a bath with her new things, so we will do that today.

Watched a little tv and fell asleep, we got up around 10PM and hung out for a little while, then I went back to bed a couple hours later. Eddie stayed up and played one of his games.

This morning I am tired (like I said before) I also have a headache, so I am glad that I only have to work for 4 hours. I think when Vallerie goes down for her 2nd nap I am going to take a nap too.

Yesterday when we were at Walmart I got a little upset. It really bugs me when people go out of the house looking like... trash. There was this one guy we saw. He was fat, not pleasantly plump, really fat. He was wearing a grey wife beater, 2 sizes too small. It was disgusting! Don't get me wrong, a skinny guy with a wife beater 2 sizes too small would be gross too, but seriously. Do people not think about looking decent when they leave the house? There was another guy we saw. At least I think it was a guy, he had long hair, it could have been a girl I suppose. Anyway, he had on these khaki pants, and the bottom of them on one of the legs was almost ripped off. It had like 2" of cloth and then the rest was just flopping around when he walked. What the hell?? Cut that shit off, or throw the damn pants away!

I was telling Eddie that I liked the 50's generation where the men were men and the women were women. Everyone seemed put together and you would never be caught dead not looking good when you left the house, or hell, even getting the mail!

Yes, I realize it was Walmart and they are notorious for gross looking people, but really, that is no excuse to go out looking like that. It really kind of puts me into a rage. (Good thing I'm not Bruce Banner)

Another thing that bugs me (I was going to stop at 1 rant, but 2 is just as good)
At our McDonald's we have a Red Box (where you walk up and can rent movies for $1 a day) The Red Box is located on the sidewalk in front of the drive through. So there's always people PARKED in the drive through lane looking at the Red Box. People! Park in a parking spot 2 feet away and WALK to the damn box. Eddie and I think it's funny to block them in when there is a line for the drive through. Sometimes they get mad. That's the BEST!

Yesterday we blocked someone in and there was a car behind us who was being nice and was going to let them out one we pulled up. Well, the car we blocked in decided they were going to go through the drive through too, so they cut off the people that were going to let them leave.

I don't know what's wrong with society these days. People are so inconsiderate and just... gross in so may ways. Do they know they act like that? Do they know it's wrong? Ugh... I'm done this is making my head hurt even more.
