Yesterday was a decent day.
After I got home I started on the viking hat I wanted to make. I got the hat part done. I was afraid I was going to run out of grey yarn. I may have just enough to add a few more details. I was going to start on the beard, but I figured I wouldn't have time to get most of it where I wanted it before I had to go to bed.
I also painted Vallerie's toenails. They are bright pink. She didn't want to sit still, so I had to do it about 4 times, and they don't look great, but they are done. Normally I will paint them in the morning when she is a little calmer.
Vallerie was also a little butthead yesterday. Eddie put her in time out because she spit her milk in one of the indentations in the couch. Well, when I got home, I gave her some juice. She proceeded to spit her juice on the couch and then she pointed at it and said "ha ha"... (yes, it was a little funny to see, but NOT funny that she did it). So, I put her in time out for it. She sat there and cried for a little while, and then she started entertaining herself (which was funny, but also a little annoying because she's supposed to be being punished!) She would play with her toes and giggle, then point at the ceiling and stuff. Then she tried to pull one over on me. She kept saying "potty". Normally I wouldn't hesitate to take her to potty, but this time I had a hunch she was just trying to get out of time out. After about 10 minutes she was done crying and playing in time out, so I took her to the potty. Guess what... she didn't have to go. (sneaky little thing!)
She's also doing something else when she gets in trouble (which isn't often - mostly it's just she's touching things she isn't supposed to, or hitting the cat, small things). She will know that she is doing something she isn't supposed to, and when we catch her she will say "hug" and then throw her arms wide open. I have a feeling she is going to be trouble once she's older! It should be fun though.
Eddie yakked to his sisters and mom on the phone for like ever yesterday. He's worse than a teenage girl sometimes. Then my mom called and talked to him. Shiesh!
We had lasagna for dinner. Vallerie ate a lot! We were very happy. She sometimes eats like a bird, so it's nice when she fills up. Then we put her to bed and Eddie played some video games, and I watched and fell asleep on the couch.
Tomorrow is Eddie and my anniversary. 13 years. I have loved (almost) every minute.
