Well, my mom visited this last week. We had a great time. She left a couple hours ago, and I am pretty bummed.
While she was here we did some fun things. We went on a few walks aroud the canal, we went to the park, we went shopping, went to the storage unit, looked through my sewing equipment, cleaned out a junk closet, napped, ate good food, spent time with Eddie's family, got my hair cut and colored, and some other things that I can't remember off the top of my head.
Vallerie seemed to enjoy the visit too. She warmed up to my mom quickly. I think she knows who she is, even though my mom doesn't.
That's about it for now. Don't feel like talking much I guess.

Monday March 26th
We had a really good weekend!
Friday we went to Sams club and bought a few things, we also stopped by Eddie's moms. Eddie's mom has a turtle, and she took it outside to eat grass. Vallerie got up to it and touched it. Then she picked it up and dropped it on the ground. We tried to tell her to be gentle, but she wasn't understanding. It was kind of cute.
Saturday we went over to Eddie's sister Nina's house and hung out for a little while. We had steak burgers, hot dogs and watermelon. Vallerie and I helped (aka watched) Eddie's sister plant flowers. and then we ate. Vallerie had a great time eating the watermelon. We got some really great pics.
Sunday we picked up Eddie's other sisters kids and brought them to our house. We played for a while, and then my mom came! After she got in and a little settled we walked to the canal and played on the boat. We met my gpa and Aunt there and they stayed for a little while. Then we threw rocks in the canal and went home and Eddie started on dinner.
Vallerie ate early because she was getting fussy and tired. So, we fed her and put her to bed, then we all ate. After Eddie's sisters family left we stayed up late and talked to my mom about stuff. It was fun, but now I am tired today. That's ok though. I am just happy she is here.
I almost forgot! My mom knitted Eddie and I a blanket. It is AWESOME! She also knitted Vallerie one, and it is AWESOME too. I can't wait to use them! I think Vallerie will really like hers, and I know that I will like using ours. I doubt Eddie will get to use it much. Hehe.

Friday March the 23rd
Played some videogames after work yesterday, then I cleaned up my moms "room". There is so much junk up there. Eddie and I are going to go through it sometime and throw some of it out. A lot of it is Christmas stuff.
After that I watched some tv and went to bed.
Woke up this morning and went into the office to work. It's been a pretty good day so far. Not too busy, but not too slow. I think we are going to Sams club today to get some food for the week. Eddie's been a grill master lately, so we'll probably get stuff to go on the grill.
On another note, Wednesday I went the whole day without drinking any soda. Normally it's all I drink, so I was proud of myself. I almost made it the whole day yesterday, but after I cleaned up my moms room I had one. I figured I burned enough calories moving crap around to even it out. Drinking coke zero today. It's kinda gross, so I'll probably only have the 1 can all day. Haven't lost any weight though. Bummer!
After that I watched some tv and went to bed.

Thursday March 22nd
Yesterday I got a very exciting surprise! My mom called and said she was coming to visit next week! I am SO happy! Have to do a small amount of cleaning before she comes, but that's no problem. I can not wait! I could barely sleep last night!
Other than that, yesterday I played some Fallout on the xbox, and then Eddie and I watched "Friends with Benefits" I think it was called. It was pretty good. There were some really funny parts. Then we went to bed.
Our landlord had some guy come over this morning and clean up the shed, so it's finally gone. However, there is still the junk that was in the shed outside, and we don't know what to do with it. I think Eddie is going to call our landlord and see what we're supposed to do with it. I will say, that the back yard looks a lot better without it there. Even when it was standing, it was ugly as hell. Maybe we'll do something nice out there. I don't know.
Eddie has been talking about Vallerie's birthday, and said that it would be cool to get her a sandbox (with a lid!) to put in the yard. She really likes playing in the dirt. I think it would be fun. I would like to see if we can get my moms old mower running so we don't have to rely on our super nice neighbors to mow our lawn this year. All it needs (I think) is a new pull cord. I like mowing the yard, so I wouldn't have a problem going out and doing it. I'll have to talk to Eddie some more about it.
The last several days Vallerie has woke up in the morning and been soaked. Her diaper just isn't doing its job. I feel so bad when I get her up and she is wet. I think we are going to limit her drinks in the evening. I tried looking online for tips on how to solve the problem, but I couldn't find anything helpful. At least it's not poop I guess.
Did some laundry this morning and washed the dishes. Vallerie was a good little girl and didn't criticize my folding skills too badly.
Not much else happening. I am working late today, so I think the highlight of my day has already passed.

Wednesday March 21st
Didn't have time to blog yesterday we had a lot going on at work. Monday night we had steak on the grill again. It was really good.
Yesterday we had grilled chicken sandwiches. They were excellent. Before dinner though, we walked around the canal. Vallerie picked some flowers and then we sat on a little dock and she threw rocks in the canal for about a half hour. On our way home there were a couple people catching fish, and we took Vallerie over to see it. She was not interested in touching the fish. We were going to stop by and say hi to my aunt, but she had a headache and was sad. I guess while she was away my uncle (who was taking care of her cats) let a couple of her deaf ones outside when they shouldn't have been. So, now she is sad because she thinks that they are dead or have been gotten by bigger animals. I told her we would watch for them.
Didn't do much after Vallerie went to bed. I watched some tv and fell asleep. I think Eddie did the same.
Today should be an ok day. Vallerie has been pretty good. We played ball in the hall for a little while. She's napping now.
Eddie called our landlord on Monday and reminded him that the shed was still in the back yard. He called back yesterday and apologized. I guess he had forgotten. So, he is supposed to come out sometime today and get it cleaned up.
Sent my mom (hi mom) some of the mini explosion boxes I made. I showed them to Eddie and he said he didn't like them nearly as much as the big ones. I said I agreed, but the others take more time and resources. So, maybe sometime I will go buy more paper to make some. I don't know. Kind of in a craft funk. I was all happy to start making hats, but it's freaking 90 degrees outside, so who needs a winter hat now??
That's about it for now. I will update later if anything interesting happens.

Monday March 19th
We had a good weekend.
Friday after I got home we walked up to my grandpas house and visited him for a little while. Vallerie had an apple while she was there.
Saturday we hung out at home. I had to work, so it was pretty uneventful after that.
Sunday we went to Eddie's sisters and gave his niece her birthday presents, and then we played in the back yard for a while. Eddie helped his brother in law pull down some limbs and they almost got hurt. Eddie's hands hurt today. He's got a few raw spots on his hands.
Vallerie is being a little difficult today. I think after I get off work I'll take her out to play. Eddie might be outside with her now I'm not sure.

Friday March 16th
Yesterday when I got home from work Eddie and Vallerie were in the yard picking up sticks. Vallerie was so cute. We have this little hill (very little) in our yard and she kept running up the hill and then would try and run down, but she would fall every time. That didn't stop her though, she just kept going up and down.
I swept off the sidewalk and got the dead leaves off of it. Vallerie wanted to help, so she kept taking my broom and shovel. Then she decided to play in the dirt.
After that we had dinner and Vallerie had a quick bath, brushed her teeth (in the tub) and went to bed. After she was in bed I played some Angry Birds on Facebook. (You shoot birds from a slingshot and try to kill pigs) I ended up playing it until 12pm. Our internet went out, so I had to stop. I guess the internet gods decided I had played too long.
Everything is up and running today. There was a weird thing that happened though. Our power went out a couple times, only for a few seconds. Then we heard this buzzing weird noise. It kind of sounded like when the furnace kicks on, but it came from outside. Then I heard police sirens. I don't know what happened, but it was weird.
I don't think we're going to go to Eddie's sisters tonight after I get off work. We wouldn't be home until after 9pm and that is way too late for Vallerie to be going to bed. I guess we'll just stop by tomorrow sometime.
I made 6 more mini explosion boxes. Bring my total to 19. I have ran out of tape, so I can't make any more until I buy some. (probably tomorrow) Now I don't know what to do to keep my hands busy.
I plan on cleaning the house this weekend. It's gotten a little messy the last week or so. Not terribly messy, just cluttered. I think it's the nice weather. It's making me want to spring clean. Sometime Eddie and I need to clean out the car too. It's gotten cluttered as well. Maybe we'll tackle that this weekend too.
I got an email from the family who took Nahlah. They said she was spoiled and loved very much. They sent a pic too. I wrote them back thanking them for the update. I was just thinking of them the other day. I'm glad she has a good home.
I have been watching Torchwood on Netflix. It's a spin off of Dr. Who. It's pretty good. I also watched the Stephen King movie Bag of Bones. It was kind of stupid. I missed it when it was on tv, so I was glad to see it on Netflix.

Thurs March 15th
Today feels like Friday. :(
After work yesterday I made a few more mini explosion boxes. I think I have 13 made. They are just sitting in a pyramid on my craft table.
Eddie and I watched the movie Reel Steel. It's about fighting robots. As exciting as that sounds, the movie was not that good. We were about 30 min in, and both of us were ready for it to be over. Eddie said I wasn't allowed to pick out any more movies. He's said that before though, and seems to say it every time I pick one out. Most of the time, I agree that they are bad.
We went to bed after that because it was like midnight. Eddie woke up sick this morning. I don't know quite what is wrong with him, but I hope he feels better today. Luckily I work early, so I can be home this afternoon if he needs to rest.
It's been nice the last few days. Yesterday it was kind of hot actually. We had the windows open at night, and the house was at 72.
I might take another walk with Vallerie today. I might pop her in the stroller though if Eddie doesn't go. I'll probably make a few trips around the block while I'm at work.
I think we're going to go to Eddie's sisters house tomorrow and give Eddie's niece her birthday present. That should be fun.

Wednesday March 14th
After work yesterday we went on a walk. We walked around the canal. We saw a snake eating a frog. It was really gross. Luckily Vallerie didn't see it and want to touch it. Eddie poked it with a stick. There was water coming in on one side, and we sat with Vallerie next to it. She got scared and was holding on to Eddie with a death grip. She wanted to go into the canal, so Eddie had to carry her 1/2 way home. (she saw ducks and wanted to play)
After that Eddie's sister and husband came over to pick up her baby shower invitations. We hung out with them for about an hour and then they went home.
After Vallerie went to bed I went upstairs and made a few more mini explosion boxes. They are cat themed. I have some dog themed ones made as well. They aren't as great as the bigger ones that I have made in the past, but they are quick and use a lot less paper. I have no clue what I will do with them.

Tuesday March 13th
I can't believe the month is already 1/2 over. That's crazy!
Yesterday after work I played the Sims for a bit, Vallerie didn't take a long 2nd nap, so I didn't get to play long. Nothing really special happened. We had dinner, gave Vallerie a (blue) bath and then after she went to bed I played some more Sims. Around 10:30 I got bored and decided to watch tv.
Lately I have been really sad about how fat I am. So, while I was watching tv I decided to hop on the exercise bike. I went for about a mile and a half and quit. I know it's not a lot, but it's more than I normally do.
I have decided to try and lose some weight. I am going to try and not drink soda, and if I do, limit it to 1 a day. I am hoping to start walking more. Since the weather is getting nicer, I thought Vallerie and I (and Eddie if he wants) can walk around the canal. I also am going to switch birth control. The one I am on (depo shot) is known to cause weight gain and weight retention. I don't know what I will switch to (not the pills... we'd have another baby on our hands!) but something that doesn't have the weight side effects. I have a doc appt next month, so I will switch then. I hope I can find something better and as effective!
I was thinking about joining Curves again, but I looked online and they are only open until 7PM. That won't work for me because if I went it would have to be after Vallerie went to bed. It's funny, my towns Curves is open later than the 2 bigger towns close by. So, I can't even drive to another location. Oh well. Maybe I'll just be Fatty McFat forever. :(
Not sure what we will be doing tonight. We have a movie from Netflix we need to watch (Reel Steel). We also have a ton of shows on our Tivo we need to watch. I have been trying to get Eddie to watch them forever.
Sometime soon Eddie's sister is coming over to check the invitations I made. She needs to send them out soon (like the end of this week) and I need to add the back part with all the info. I have it all printed out, I just need her to make sure it's right and then I can tape them on and she can mail them.

Monday March 12th
We had a really good weekend.
Saturday morning (after I blogged) I did some house stuff. I did the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, did some laundry, made a cake, took out the garbage, fixed the rip in Eddie's pants, and folded laundry. Vallerie was nice enough to stay entertained while I did all this, although she did "help" fold the laundry. She must be very picky because I'll fold nice little piles, and she'll come and rip them apart. I guess my folding isn't always up to her standards. (lol)
Saturday evening after Vallerie went to bed, Eddie and I watched Immortals. It was a pretty good movie I thought. Eddie liked it up until the end. It's about Roman gods, and Eddie knows a lot bout that subject. Eddie didn't like the fact that they changed the god's story, like it was way different than anything ever written about. Hard to explain, but basically they f-ed it all up...
Sunday it was a really nice day. Eddie, Vallerie and I walked to the park. We walked along the canal. Vallerie had a good time picking up sticks and veering off toward the water. Luckily Eddie was there to corral her.
Vallerie had a great time playing at the park. She went down slides, swung, and went on the merry go round. I think the merry go round made her a little sick because she was on it for a few minutes smiling and having a good time, then all of a sudden she had a sad/mad look on her face. Once she was off of that, she got a little fussy so we decided to head home. (We were there for a good hour and a half) We walked back next to the canal, but this time we went over the metal bridge. Vallerie thought that was pretty cool. She kept trying to stick her head between the bars, and finally did. Yes, her head got stuck for a couple seconds. After we got home Vallerie had a nice long nap.
After that we just hung out at home.
Today has been busy. I have a bunch of people to call. I should be able to get through them all by Wednesday. Not much else going on at the moment.

I did the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, did some laundry, made a cake, took out the garbage, fixed the rip in Eddie's pants, and folded laundry. Vallerie was nice enough to stay entertained while I did all this, although she did "help" fold the laundry. She must be very picky because I'll fold nice little piles, and she'll come and rip them apart. I guess my folding isn't always up to her standards. (lol)
Saturday evening after Vallerie went to bed, Eddie and I watched Immortals. It was a pretty good movie I thought. Eddie liked it up until the end. It's about Roman gods, and Eddie knows a lot bout that subject. Eddie didn't like the fact that they changed the god's story, like it was way different than anything ever written about. Hard to explain, but basically they f-ed it all up...
Sunday it was a really nice day. Eddie, Vallerie and I walked to the park. We walked along the canal. Vallerie had a good time picking up sticks and veering off toward the water. Luckily Eddie was there to corral her.
Vallerie had a great time playing at the park. She went down slides, swung, and went on the merry go round. I think the merry go round made her a little sick because she was on it for a few minutes smiling and having a good time, then all of a sudden she had a sad/mad look on her face. Once she was off of that, she got a little fussy so we decided to head home. (We were there for a good hour and a half) We walked back next to the canal, but this time we went over the metal bridge. Vallerie thought that was pretty cool. She kept trying to stick her head between the bars, and finally did. Yes, her head got stuck for a couple seconds. After we got home Vallerie had a nice long nap.
After that we just hung out at home.
Today has been busy. I have a bunch of people to call. I should be able to get through them all by Wednesday. Not much else going on at the moment.

Saturday March10th
Didn't blog yesterday, I was working in the mail room, so I guess I got too busy and forgot.
Yesterday after work Eddie and I went into town and stopped by his moms house for a bit, and then we went to Walmart and got dinner and some HDMI cables for my xbox.
During work I went to the grocery store to buy some cheesecake for a company lunch, and I got Vallerie a few things as well. I got her a dancing duck (which she is semi afraid of) a bunny rubber duck (have to get one for every holiday/season) and a new real tooth brush and toothpaste (which tastes like pink)
I told Eddie it tasted like pink and he was like "Lauren, what does it really taste like" I made him try it and he said it tasted like pink too. It's weird. It's called Pinkie Fruity Flavor. So after Vallerie ate dinner she brushed her teeth. I had my toothbrush out and was showing her how to brush. She did pretty good and got mad when it was time to be done.
Vallerie went to bed pretty late, but we are trying to get her all set up for the time change tonight. I'll probably move her nap up today too. (If she cooperates)
Last night there was a new Ghost Adventures episode. I was so happy. I got into bed and turned it on. I got 1/2 way through and then I woke up and it was over. I fell asleep! Luckily it was on 2 hours after that so I ran into the living room and tivo'd it, so I will probably watch it later today.
Our landlord still hasn't come and taken the shed away, I hope he does it this weekend. It's really an eye sore and unsafe. It's metal!
Not sure what our weekend plans are. Probably going to be mellow. We're still not feeling 100%, and I don't think Eddie wants to go anywhere. I have another cake to make for Eddie and I'm not sure when I will make it.
We were thinking about going back to church. We stopped going because it was right in the middle of Vallerie's nap, and she did not want to sit still. But, now that she is older, we are wanting to have more interaction with other kids, so we would go to the service and put her in the nursery to let her play with (push around) other kids. I will have to talk to Eddie and see if that's something he wants to start this weekend.
It's been fairly nice weather lately. Last week it got in the 70s a couple times. I think starting Monday it's supposed to be in the 70s all week. It will be nice to get to go outside and not be cold. I'm excited to take Vallerie to the park. This year she can actually play!
That's about it for now. It's taken me double the time to blog as normal because I am on a damn laptop. I HATE typing on laptops.

Thurs March 8th
Haven't blogged in a while. Eddie and I have been sick, so I haven't wanted to do much of anything.
We assume that Vallerie gave us her sickness. It's hard to get well with a kid running around.
Not much happened this week other than us being sick. Our shed finally blew over. The wind knocked it over yesterday. Our landlord was supposed to come over today and clean it up, but I don't think he has stopped by yet.
Last week (Friday I think) Eddie and I watched "In Time" it was a pretty good movie.
Noting else to report other than Vallerie is feeling better, and Eddie and I are better but not 100%.
